What about the damage to my vehicle?
If you have been in a motor vehicle collision and were not at fault, the at-fault driver is responsible to pay for the damage to your vehicle.
Depending on how extensive the damage is, your vehicle may be repairable or a total loss. Determining which can be tricky. Many insurance companies will not disclose that in addition to paying for the damage to your vehicle, they may owe you diminished value and loss of use damages. We routinely advise our clients on these matters to make sure they are receiving what is fair under the law.
