Attorney’s Fees

All attorney fees must be approved by a judge or other official within the Social Security Administration.

In most Social Security claims, attorney fees are handled under a fee agreement. In a typical agreement attorney fees are set at 25% of past due benefits or $5,300.00, whichever is smaller. Past due benefits are those benefits that are due to the claimant from the time she is found to be eligible for benefits until the time she begins getting regular monthly benefits.
